Prestige Homeseeker to help parks unlock potential with financial funding support

Exciting news which could revolutionise the industry from a park perspective has just been announced from one of the industry’s leading leisure lodge manufacturers, Prestige Homeseeker.
Prestige Homeseeker announced a new funding scheme which could be set to help unlock the potential for many parks looking to expand or invest in their own rental lodge fleet.
The park and leisure home sector has changed almost beyond recognition over the past few decades, bucking the trend with good growth when other industries were struggling. Manufacturers have been adept at adapting to market forces quickly with new innovations, technologies and manufacturing techniques.

On the leisure side that growth has almost been phenomenal in the past couple of years, with new lodge parks springing up around the UK almost daily. That may, of course, be partly due to the Brexit effect and a lack of confidence in the pound during the lengthy negotiations deterring holidaymakers from foreign travel, or the fact that lodges offer the level of luxury holiday makers now not only aspire to but now also expect. What’s clear is that it’s a time of opportunity for those in a position to act.

Prestige Homeseeker have always stayed close to their customer base, both trade and retail, and have clearly listened to the challenges many parks were up against, and what was stopping them from taking steps to expand their rental fleet. This announcement offers a solution which effectively helps them bridge the gap.

The beauty of the scheme is that it enables parks to match monthly payments with anticipated rental income over the duration of the term, effectively allowing the lodges to potentially offset their costs early. Lodge finding plans are available from 2 or 5 years.  Parks can also demonstrate rental yield to potential investor purchasers, maximizing the value of the sale in the process, so the scheme can help populate a park with potential in more ways than one.

Illustrated examples of how the financial breakdown works are available on request and are clear and easy to understand. Units applicable for the scheme are new leisure lodges supplied by Prestige Homeseeker for leisure purposes for periods of no more than 28 days at a time by any individual.

Silvano Geranio, Founder Director of Prestige Homeseeker said of the news; ‘’We’ve been inundated with enquiries already which shows how much it is needed. Many parks will experience cash flow challenges in their expansion process at some point, or may simply need to deploy available funds as strategically as possible when working on new developments and this scheme helps them do that, while also expanding their fleet with confidence.’’

Gary Malloy, Managing Director at Leisure Resorts was one of the first to congratulate Prestige Homeseeker on the scheme, saying; ‘’The funding plan helps our cash flow and allows the flexibility to add an additional 15 fleet lodges at Ullswater Heights and also build a high-quality luxury Spa facility.’’

Ian Smith, Joint MD at Peter Bull Resorts added; ‘’What an amazing opportunity. This demonstrates what great business relationships can achieve. Well done Silvano – Prestige Homeseeker Park & Leisure Homes inspires and leads the journey.’’

Sales Director of Aria Resorts Ben Nolan-Stone commented; ‘’Fantastic options, great help with juggling cash flow without sacrificing the quality of parks’ fleet product.’’
Many of us working directly with parks for the past few years recognize the issues for parks around gaining momentum on new developments, and with this scheme making early installations possible, this news could mark a huge step forward in the industry.

For holidaymakers and potential lodge investors that can only be a good thing too, with more choice on offer as parks jump over that final hurdle to extend their offering. Great news for the industry!

Prestige Homeseeker Annual Dragon Boat Race exceeds previous year

Prestige Homeseeker Annual Dragon Boat Race exceeds previous year

It was an outstanding day by many accounts. The weather was fantastic, both teams did well in the races and we exceeded the amount we raised for our chosen charities. We are pleased to announce that we have now received all of the donations for the Annual Dragon Boat Race from September 2018 and have raised £1786.00 in total (split between Cransley Hospice and Lakelands Hospice), which exceeds the previous year.

A sizeable amount was received from our various suppliers. Carlos Martin, Head of Supply Chain and Procurement, said: “I would like to thank our suppliers who supported our charity fund racing Dragon Boat Race event held at Wicksteed Park in September. Your generosity is very much appreciated by us and the Cransley and Lakelands charities who will really benefit from the funds raised.”

Thank you to everyone who donated and supported throughout the day and we hope the money makes a great difference to the charities involved. Let’s hope we can beat this in 2019 too!

Tresham College Achievements Ceremony 2018

Two of our apprentices Will Vanner and Loren Cooper were recognised for their hard work at the Tresham College Presentation of Apprenticeship ceremony with awards in Construction for Immediate Apprenticeship in Maintenance Operations. Will and Loren joined the Prestige Homeseeker Park & Leisure Homes team as Apprentices in 2017 and are developing their careers by completing an apprenticeship in Construction Building Maintenance Operations with the Bedford College Group.

Joining the event was the Mayor of Corby, where Tresham College has exciting campus and where a new Learning Centre to upgrade adult IT skills is to be opened. Together with the existing Learning Centre in Kettering, 1,000 students will be enrolled each year.

As well as modern campuses in Kettering and Corby, the Wellingborough campus is to benefit from as £7.5 Million investment which will bring 1,000 students into the town centre, reported Ian Pryce CBE, Principal and CEO of The Bedford College Group, created via the merger with Tresham College in August 2017.

“Tonight we celebrate the achievements of the first full academic year since the merger and acknowledge the part played in that progress by local councils, MPs, parents and students. We thank our sponsors whose supports indicates the value local employers place on Tresham College: Tata Steel, The Weetabix Food Company, RS Components, Prestige Homeseeker Park and Leisure Homes, Keepmoat Home and Howarth Timber.

“Student results at Tresham College have been particularly impressive. As part of the group, it contributed to taking 1,000 students, who had failed their CGSE Maths or English at school, and passed after only 34 weeks at college.

“Progression for students on to Higher Education, or degree-level learning courses, is being made available through closer relationships with universities in Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire.

“So if you want to get ahead of the rest, head for Tresham.”

Mr Pryce did take the opportunity to criticise Government funding for “technical education”. He said: “The recent Institute for Fiscal Studies report showed that college funding per student has gone from 50% above the level for schools to 8% below in 20 years and colleges have been hardest hit by austerity. If we want world class skills, then we must invest in colleges.”

Chair of The Bedford College Group Corporation Roger Marriott welcomed investment by the South East Midlands LEP (SEMLEP) into the group – including the campus at Wellingborough. “We are ambitious for our students and welcome the highest levels of achievement.”

Prestige Homeseeker provide first step in development for Durdle Door

Durdle Door Holiday Park is idyllically located between breath taking sea views and stunning hill and countryside views on the Dorset’s Jurassic Coast.

It is here, nestled in a large quiet corner plot in the Park with a generous garden and beautiful countryside views, that the brand new luxurious Lulworth Skipper Lodge will reside. (Skipper Lodge based on Prestige Homeseeker Burleigh holiday home).

With outstanding quality and workmanship, this fresh and modern lodge is bound to turn heads and is the perfect first lodge for anyone.

After 18 months of planning, and looking for the perfect lodge, we are so happy to have found ourselves the incredible Lulworth Skipper from Prestige Homeseeker.

The General Manager of Durdle Door Holiday Park, Rebecca Williams, was brought in by owner James Weld only 2 years ago, but the difference she and her team have made is astounding.

In this short amount of time they have built a new access road to the famous Durdle Door beauty spot; increased Park security with an owner’s barrier; built a tight knit team and brought the onsite bar and restaurant back in house, which will reopen next year after a refurbishment, and now they have secured the first lodge at the park which is the start of great things to come in the future!

Gary Stillman, Durdle Door Holiday Park’s Head of Sales, has a background in luxury lodges and has been working closely with Prestige Homeseeker to bring this new venture to life. If you would like any more information about the Lulworth Skipper or Durdle Door Holiday Park, please contact Gary on 07841053289.
